If we use started, then what did it start (there`s no object). There must be an object in this sense, like when we say: it started moving/its journey, etc. In the conversation on TB P.118 line 13. It says: The first line opened in 1989 I think my brother will be a doctor. He`s very clever. The book used WILL based on THINK (though there`s an evidence). I agree with you that this is controversial The best thing about our holiday to Iceland was our visit to (the) see the geyser .Yes, this is a MISTAKE gas (pl. gases or less frequent gasses). If you watch the sky on a clear night you can see stars and planets. Cross out IF and use WHEN (the meaning fits, so it is ZERO). Hello! Mr Essam It's been a long time (for me, of course) to enjoy discussions with a most knowlegeable teacher! I would like to add that if we say, "The first metro line started...", I think STARTED here is an intransitive verb. But in this sense it refers to the physical nature of the line not the time of opening it. For example we can say, At first, the metro line started in Helwan and ended in Al Marg. After the first extension, it now starts in Helwan and ends in New Al Marg (Al Marg Al Gadida) |
