Samir has two sisters;.......................... of them are older than him.
a) neither b) none c) both d) each تناقشت مع استاذة بريطانية تدرس اللغة الانجليزية في المعهد البريطاني باليونان بخصوص هذة الجملة وكان ردها
Mona promised that she........................... home tomorrow. a) be b) would have been c) will have been d) will be كان ردها d) will be Yesterday Mona promised me that she will be home tomorrow. Strictly speaking there should be 'would be' in the choice of answers. Which would mean the sentence is: Mona promised that she would be home tomorrow. But it doesn't have that choice so the best answer is 'will be' The other choices: be/would have been/will have been Mona promised to BE home tomorrow. 'WOULD HAVE BEEN' is just not possible. Mona promised when I saw her that she will be home tomorrow. That is the general idea in that sentence. It is okay...but for me it needed more information than was given. *That means we think she will come. Mona promised that she would be home tomorrow. *That implies we are not sure she will come. |
