(A) Respond to each of the following situations :-

1. You hear some people criticizing a friend’s behaviour but you think the opposite.

2. You are asked about your date and place of birth. How will you reply?

3. You are at an interview for university. The interviewer asks you what qualities you think are important to be a successful student. What ‘do you reply?

4. You are a receptionist and you want to see a resident’s identity card.

5. You receive a guest at home . What do you say?

6. You agree with your friend’s opinion that computers are useful.

7. An interviewer asks you about the qualities of a successful student.

8. You ask your teacher’s permission to leave the class.

9. Your cousin tells you that his father has come back from Europe.

10. A friend congratulates you on passing an important course in Errglish.

11. Warn your younger son against watching too much TV.

12. You advise your younger brother to brush his teeth before sleeping.

13. You and your brother are suggesting what to buy for your mother’s birthday.

14. You offer food and drink to your guests. What will you say to make them start eating?

15. You hear someone say that all astronauts are very rich. You know this is not true. Say why.

To be a successful student i should respect my teachers and colleagues, follow the rules , attend on time and apply what i have learnt.
4. You are a receptionist and you want to see a resident’s identity card.
Please sir, may i have your identity card please.

Welcome dear, it's a pleasure to visit us.
6. You agree with your friend’s opinion that computers are useful.
Of course,you are right they help to complete my work accurately.

A successful student should be ambitious,serious and diligent.
8. You ask your teacher’s permission to leave the class.
Please sir, could you allow me to leave i really feel sick.

You shouldn't watch the TV a lot or you will harm your eyes.

You should brush your teeth every day before sleeping.

Why don't we buy her a modern mobile.

You must taste this cake i made it myself don't be shy make yourself at home.

This is not true, they spent their money on space travel.
16. You ask your friend’s opinion of mobile phones.
As for me, i think they are very helpful as i could ask for help any time.

As i want to give hand to the poor patient.

I really feel pain on my knee and i couldn't walk easily.

Oh dear, you should rest and see a doctor.

Public transport saves money and protect the environment from pollution.
23. A friend of yours asks you what makes him good at speaking a foreign language.
You should listen to foreign films and practise speakin a lot.
24. You refuse politely an invitation to a ball. Say why .
I'm so sorry, i'd love to come, but i'm travelling on this particular day.
25. You explain the difference between traffic in streets now and in the past
In the past,traffic was so quiet, but now it is very crowded .
