Concerning the question posted on 31/05/2009

2-he had (such a -so-too-a very )few friends at school that he felt unhappy.

The Correct answer SO

In Grammar, we use SO, not such, with FEW, LITTLE, MANY and MUCH.

However, in Spoken English, which is not the case here, we can accept "such".

I think it could have many meanings:

It could be : Ali is a multi-lingual speaker.

or simply: Ali is a person who speaks / can speak five languages.
