The correct answer is "Which" because the verb attend is followed by the place without preposition.
I attend school. correct
I attend in school. incorrect
the relative pronoun "where" must replace a place adverb not an object. In other words the pronoun where replaces a preposition + noun or the word "there"

The school (which / where) I attended has only one classroom.

The original two sentences are:
The school has one classroom . I attended in it .
where refers to the place I attend in it
but if we regard to school as a course. the classroom is a place and doesn't`keep in step with a course.
SO
The best answer is (Where)

Mr Saber Aboziad Abd Elma

Dear Mr. Nabil
I think the correct answer is WHICH not where
In your example "SCHOOL" is the direct object of the verb ATTEND
We say: attend the funeral / class / a meeting ....etc.
We also say: Which school do your children attend? -
- The school which my children attend is called Al Fustat
Here is An Easy Test to decide whether to use WHICH or WHERE
Use the word replaced by the relative pronoun after the verb that comes after it
1. If that word requires an adverb particle "e.g. in, on, at, under, below ....etc. before it, then it refers to place or position. In this case we must use WHERE
Example
The place (which / where) he was born is Tanta.
Note: He was born in this place./ in Tanta / in it
Here the correct answer is "WHERE"
2. If that word does not require an adverb particle, it is a direct object of the verb preceding it. In this case we have to use WHICH
Example
The place (which / where) we visited last week was fascinating
Note: We visited that place. We visited it
In this case we are using `place` as mere object. So we must use "WHICH or THAT"

- The school where I attended .......
But we can also say: - The school which I attended in ........

Mr Osama Ahmad
23-06-2009, 04:10 PM
Of course the answer is where not which
The sentence says the school .. I attended has one classroom.
so it is a place not anything else

Look at these sentences and compare
The house which I bought has three rooms.
The house where I live has three rooms.

Hi everybody ,many great thanks for every body here, your efforts and your answers are splendid ,but,we should know the difference between:(which) and (where) :We use (which) after any place to show the discription of it.Let me elicitate the example above :The house which I bought has three rooms.this example shows the discription of the place. When we use (where) after any place ,we point out that place we work or live in regularly.(ATTEND) WITH PLACE MEANS GO THERE REGULARLY So the answer will be (where) as you go there regularly .you may work there or study there. Thanks for eveyone

فى اللغة الانجليزية تحل which محل المكان فى حالتين
اولا لو ارتبطت which بحرف جر او تم فصل حرف الجر عنها مع وجوده فى الجملة والجميع متفق على تلك الحالة

I went to the library where I read a very good book
I went to the library in which I read a very good book
I went to the library which I read a very good book in.
2- ثم نأتى للحالة الثانية وفى هذه الحالة لو تبعت جملة الوصل بالفعل مباشرة يجب أن تستخدم which ( لتشير للمكان كفاعل ) لانها فى هذه الحالة تحل محل الفاعل ( المكان ) بمعنى أن where لا يمكن أن تحل محل الفاعل هنا فنستخدم

which
لتقوم بعملها
...
ولو لاحظنا هنا سنجد اننا نتكلم عن المكان كشيء وليس كمكان ايضا لذلك سيفسرها البعض انها من حيث المعنى أقوى ولكنها قاعدة واضحة فى ضمائر الوصل
1- فى حالة وجود حرف الجر فى الجملة سواء سبقت بحرف الجر أو تم فصل حرف الجر عنها
They demolished the old house which was about to collapse

يا جماعة لو هانختار where هاتكون الجملة كدة
the school where I attended a course has only.........

Good morning everyone .My dear colleagues when I say the answer is (where) not (which),I intend to point out to focus on (attend). Please Mr.ABDELHADY ,Don't tackle the subject on one side, your answer should be based on all meaning and all words. You and with many presisted in having preposition with (which) or (attend) that's wrong ;so your answers are dipped down.I said before: ATTEND WITH PLACES MEANS :GO TO THIS PLACE REGULARLY (EVERY DAY),THAT MEANS YOU WORK OR STUDY OR.....ETC(YOU GO THERE FOR THE PURPOSE OF THAT PLACE).TO SUM UP WE CAN SAY THAT(WHERE) IS USED TO ILLUSTRATE THE PURPOSE OF THE PLACE.(WHICH) IS USED TO SHOW THE DISCRIPTION OF THE PLACE.REMEMBER (WHERE=IN WHICH=WHICH...IN) SO THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM.
ENJOY YOUR TIME.

I never know why you are at a loss.Attend has a preposition (to) as (phr v);so when you say attend never takes preposititon is wrong. At last not least we can say that more than twice Place with (where) refers to the purpose of it, but place with (which )refers to the discription of it . What I want to say for all;don't hustel after the idol rule of which or where ; your answer key with (attend). please everybody ,try to cosult the dictionary to know the meaning of attend with place.Best wishes for all .MR.HATEM ATTIA

الحل where
الاخوة اللى قالوا attend لا تأخذ حرف جر غير صحيح لانها تاخذ العديد وفى المثال السابق تاخذ at
لان ما بعدها يصف one classroom
They attended at the University of Pennsylvania.
لو كان يصف المدرسة كمنهج فلا تاخذ حرف جر
They attended college together
وبجمع المثالين
They attended college together at the University of Pennsylvania.
