لعمل أو تكوين سؤال يلزم ما يأتى:-

v معرفة علامات الإستفهام (أدوات الإستفهام) وهم:-

من الذىWho / أىWhich / ما وقتWhat time / لماذاWhy

كم سعر – كم كميةHow much / كم عدد How many / كم – كيف How

أينWhere / متى When / ما – ماذاWhat

v معرفة الفعل المساعد وهو يتحدد حسب زمن الجمله المراد تكوين سؤال لها.

v معرفة تركيب أو ترتيب السؤال وهو نوعين:-
أ‌- السؤال المبدوء بعلامة إستفهام وترتيبه كالتالى:-

ب‌- السؤال المبدوء بفعل مساعد أو ناقص ومعناه "هل" وترتيبه كالتالى:-

· الأفعال المساعده هى:-

· الأفعال الناقصه هى:-

can – could – shall – should – may – must – will – would

لاحظ: هناك بعض التحويلات عند صياغة السؤال والإجابة عليه هي:

لاحظ أن:- اذا كان فعل الجمله الأساسى هو : (am \ is \ are \ was \ were) أى يأتى بمعنى "يكون"
فإن تركيب السؤال يكون كالتالى:-

1) I can read English.

- What can you do?

= What can you read?

- Can you read English?

2) I can't jump.

- What can't you do?

- Can you jump?

3) You must come to school on time.

- When must you come to school?

- Must you come to school on time?

4) You mustn't use a mobile phone in the class.

- What mustn't you do in the class?

- Must you use a mobile phone in the class
