It`s time / It`s about time / It`s high time are followed by past simple (or continuous). It is unreal past. They mean: I should have done
that action before now

ايضا فى الفصل الثالث ص 29
It did not take us long to reach the hunting lodge where we had left the king and quickly jump off our horses لماذا الفعل jump فى المصدر ؟ هل لانه معطوف على take ام لماذا؟ افيدونا ام انه يجب ان يكونjumped


The second sentence
It did not take us long to reach (infinitive) ........ and jump (infinitive) off
