2- ( before = by the time ) past simple , p.p << الحدث الأول ماضى بسيط و الثانى ماضى تام >>
*First i repaired the car , then i travelled
= Before i travelled , i had repaired the car .
* ahmed studied then he answered a test
= Before he answered a test , he had studied

3-( After = as soon as = when ) p.p + past simple . < الحدث الأمل ماضى بسيط و الثانى ماضى تام >
* First i repaired the car , then i travelled
= After i had repaired the car , i travelled
* ahmed studied then he answered a test .
= After he studied , he answered a test.

-( After + s + had ) pp = having pp

*After i had repaired the car , i travelled
= Having repaired the car , i travelled

- Before / After v+ing لو مفيش فاعل

4- Despite =in spite of لكن >> v+ing
* he ran quickly but he lost the race
- In spite of running quickly , he lost the race

5- ( besides = as well as = in addition to ) + v+ing
* he studied the unit and answered a test
=he studied the unit in addition to answering a test
=Besides studying the unit , he answered a test
= he not only studied the unit but answered a test as well
=Not only did he study the unit but answered a test as well
