معنى end up :

If you end up in a particular place or situation that is the place or situation you are in finally :

They are travelling across Europe by train and are planning to end up in Moscow

وهذا يعني أن end up in يأتي بعده مكان

مثال أخر :

Much of this meat will probably end up as dog food

بمعنى أن فعل end up as : ينتهي به المطاف أن يصبح

والمثال الأتي يدل على أن : end up يتبعه noun

She will end up penniless if she carries on spending as much as that

أما المثال الذي يهمنا هو الذي يوضح أن end up يتبعه gerund بدون أى حرف جر

After working her way around the world , she ended up teaching English
