adj+ing=something already fulfilled

In both these cases, the event has already happened, since the main verb (was) is in the past tense. They mean the same thing
............
It will be amazing to see these animals.
It will be amazing seeing these animals.
In both these cases, the event has not yet occurred. They mean the same thing
