sorry mr esam but what is the problem with others and the others
the answer model says its "the other"
so where is the prblem it's the correct one "

I know that this sentence is taken from the syllabus and the answer is "the others" Yet, l believe that "others" is not wrong. The sentence reads "We are going a long way ahead; let's wait for ....to catch up with us."
According to the text , "the others" is the correct answer, but if you are after meaning , you can also choose "others". Language is a matter of sense, isn't it? Please comment on this statement.
