concerning the second sentence:

Move: to put something in another place or another way:

E.g Can you move your car, please?

transport : a way of carrying people or things from one place to another: road transport

E.g The goods were transported by air.

but there is a sentence on the the student book

Stones were transported by boats.

so be it.
