هنا المفروض هنغير to read إلى reading

السؤال هو to read خطأ لغويا

أنا بحثت عليها فى بعض القواميس
بحثت عن تعبير

It's a waste of time +ing

لأحاول إثبات أن هذا التعبير =

It's no use /It's useless +ing

وعثرت بالفعل على هذه الفكرة فى القاموس


مارأى حضرتك فى هذا؟

التعبيرات

It's a waste of time / It's waste of money +V+ing

يأتي بعدها gerund


ولكن

It's useless + to- inf


It's useless to speculate without more information

I'd like Sir to ask you a question
Is "During" followed by a gerund or a noun?
In a great number of external books, they mention that during can by followed either by a gerund or a noun
But some teachers say that " During" can only be followed by a noun
i have investigated the matter and looked it up in over 80 english references (grammar books, usage books and dictionaries using electronic search) i haven't encountered during followed by a gerund
I seek your opinion, Sir

يُرجي تصحيح الخطأ الوارد بالوحدة الرابعة ص 12

حيث ورد أن during يمكن أن يتبعها V+ing

فمعذرة لهذا الخطأ


وهو خطأ كثيرا ما يقع فيه حتي أهل اللغة الانجليزية أنفسهم وهم عندما يفعلون ذلك يقصدون الاختصار

في الجملة اعتمادا علي فهم المستمع

فالعبارة

During studying, he

ربما يكون المقصود بها هو

During the time he was studying
