Hello every colleague
when we use mustn't to express prohibition it is the same as can't. is this right or there is a difference in meaning
for example we say
* You mustn't smoke here. It is against the law.
We also say:
* You can't smoke here. It is against the law.
What do you think?

i think that mustnot is more popular than canot and it has the meanong of prohibtion as the sentence says it is against the law
cannot:
ex:u can:T drive now,u don:T have alosence

I agree with you Mr. but there are many sentences in senior mustn't and can't in the same sentence in unit 17

تستخدم قبل الاسم او العبارة الاسمية
except (for) after all and any no everything whole
I 've read all the articles except for the last one.
Nobdy agreeed except for Esam.
تستخدم بعد الكلمات الدالة على التعميم مثل all- any- everyone- nobody -whole ولكن عندما تاتى اول الجملة نستخدم except for فقط وليس except
Exept for Maher and Lames, all my friends liked the idea.
فى حالة حروف الجر والروابط تستخدم except بدون for

بعد الضمائر نستخدم except او except for
We are all ready except for him.
