هذا هو سؤالى فى المنتدى الانجليزى :

After a university education, a first job he did was to work in the theatre as an
actor.
A friend of mine has just seen this sentence in a book. Neither of us is convinced that the underlined part is grammatically correct. I want to know if we are right or wrong.
