I had instructions that i have left the door unlocked حيث كان اصلها should have left
ولو مضارع تبقى : i have instructions that i leave the door ....................... We use the past perfect continuous when we talk about the continuity or duration of a situation * or activity, and the past perfect to talk about the completion of a situation or activity or its effects

لانه فيه تركيبة اسمها be+infiniiveو هى تستخدم ل to convey orders or instructions مثال I am to go. He said that if he fell asleep at the wheel she was to wake him up.
